A cultural complex that encompasses the past, present and future of parliamentary democracy in Korea. Welcome to the National Assembly Museum

As a first-rate national museum, the National Assembly Museum is dedicated to the activities of the National Assembly from the Provisional Assembly until the present day and materials related to parliamentary democracy.

It was built in 1998, 24 years ago, under the name of the National Assembly Memorial Hall. In 2020, the National Assembly Secretariat set out to completely renovate the exhibition space for the first time in 22 years after the construction, and after 20 months of renovation, it was reopened on April 11, 2022 as the National Assembly Museum on the site of the National Assembly Memorial Hall.

The name of the National Assembly Museum was selected through a public contest in March 2021 with the hope that the cultural complex, showcasing the past, present and future of parliamentary democracy, will become a space that promotes unrestricted communication with the people.

The National Assembly Museum consists of one basement floor and three floors above ground. Discover the National Assembly Experience Center and Exhibition Halls 1 and 2 on the second floor, and Exhibition Halls 3 and 4, the Temporary Exhibition Hall, and Children's Museum on the first floor. Amenities and resting spots for visitors are located on the first basement floor.

We will continue to strive to ensure that the National Assembly Museum will serve as a place of experience and education to help correct underlying misconceptions and prejudices about the National Assembly and parliamentary democracy.

We will keep detailed records of the traces of the National Assembly for the current and future generations so that we can overcome widespread political distrust and pass on the values and history of true democracy to our descendants.
